Our team of professionals
Dr. Liz is a passionate advocate for whole-family health, both in the community and at Middletown Family Chiropractic. After earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College, she pursued advanced training in spinal correction and nutrition, equipping her to help individuals address the root causes of health challenges—not just the symptoms.
She is certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is especially dedicated to supporting expecting mothers through more comfortable pregnancies and smoother deliveries. She also cares for infants dealing with colic, sleep disturbances, and recurring ear infections, helping set the stage for healthy development from the very beginning.
Dr. Liz believes the body was designed to heal—and her mission is to remove the interference standing in the way. She co-founded Middletown Family Chiropractic in 2014 alongside her husband, Dr. Xavier, and together they continue to serve families with purpose, passion, and personalized care.
Dr. Xavier’s path to chiropractic care began with a passion for service and a commitment to real healthcare and a deep desire to serve others. While earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and received advanced training as a Medic. During his military service, he gained hands-on experience in emergency care, which shaped his commitment to finding healthcare solutions that go beyond simply managing symptoms. He was able to see first hand the gaps in our “sick care” system.
That pursuit led him to Logan College of Chiropractic, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After graduation, Dr. Xavier worked in some of the largest chiropractic clinics in Florida, refining his skills in results-based treatment. He also had the opportunity to support elite athletes as part of the Sports Performance Council for USA Wrestling during the Rio Olympics—an experience that further deepened his understanding of peak physical performance and injury prevention.
Today, Dr. Xavier brings that same high-level expertise to his work in Louisville, with a special focus on scoliosis care. He holds advanced certifications in spinal correction, nutrition, and scoliosis rehabilitation and bracing. His extensive training allows him to help patients of all ages manage scoliosis non-surgically and improve their quality of life through custom, corrective care.
In 2014, he and his wife, Dr. Liz, opened Middletown Family Chiropractic to serve families with a holistic, root-cause approach to health.
Dr. Kurt Baumgratz has been serving the Louisville community as a dedicated chiropractor since 2014. His personal journey with chiropractic care began at a young age, when he experienced lasting relief from chronic headaches through adjustments. That early transformation shaped his view of true health: when the body is aligned and the nervous system functions without interference, healing happens naturally.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Kurt earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic. He values the hands-on, personalized nature of chiropractic care and is passionate about helping patients reach their health goals through education, alignment, and movement.
Dr. Kurt is certified in dry needling and has completed additional training in functional movement and corrective exercise. His approach blends clinical precision with practical movement strategies to help patients feel and function at their best.
Outside the office, Dr. Kurt enjoys horse racing, golfing, and spending quality time with his family.
Becca Messing’s passion for helping others live to their full potential through a healthy lifestyle began in high school. She attended Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, where she played softball for four years and initially planned to become a physician assistant. That path shifted during her senior year when she sustained a back injury while playing softball. After trying several forms of treatment, it was chiropractic care that finally addressed the root cause of her pain. That experience sparked a deep interest in the field and ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in chiropractic. Dr. Becca began her chiropractic education at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri, in the fall of 2022. During her time at Logan, she developed a strong passion for perinatal and pediatric care, while also learning to serve individuals across all stages of life. Her background in athletics, dedication to holistic health, and compassionate approach drive the work she does today. Becca is excited to be completing her clinical residency at Middletown Family Chiropractic as she moves toward graduation.
Rebekah graduated from the University of Louisville in 2021 where she received her bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Performance with a track in Exercise Science. She has always been intrigued by human anatomy and how it works! She wants to help people learn how to manage their care through home care stretches and exercises, assessing patient progress, and helping you meet your goals! For any care related question, she’s your girl! In her free time, she loves to read and go to the lake with her husband and dog.
